ABOUT US

Our Goal

Founded in November 2019, The Code4All Initiative was borne out of a sincere passion to assist students from under-represented backgrounds who are on the wrong side of the digital divide. We aim to teach students from underserved and rural communities basic computer and coding skills. The project seeks to develop in them the passion for pursuing a career in Science, Technology. Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), and thus equip them with the necessary digital skills needed to survive in an ever-changing and technologically driven world.

Initially, this project focused on empowering only girls in high school with coding and software development skills. While this project's primary focus is to get more girls to pursue a career in STEM, we have adjusted our model to accommodate boys from underprivileged backgrounds to create more gender balance.

Our Leadership

The Code4All Initiative was founded by a multinational and multilingual team from four African countries who were very dedicated and committed to creating amazing changes in their host communities. However, four of our co-founders have long moved on with other endeavours.
